Deep Roots :
Nicolas Proupain was born with a neurological disorder, one eye that does not see, and a squint.
At age 11, unexplained knee pain prevents him from running, walking, and then from keeping up in class. He then has his first experience with chiropractic care, which—beyond enabling him to walk and run normally again—also brings unexpected benefits such as regulating his strabismus… a revelation!
Then, at 18, while following the “royal path” of scientific studies in “pure and applied mathematics,” he suffers a serious ankle injury. After surgery, he returns to see his chiropractor, who again, beyond treating the physical issue, tells him: “when you sprain your ankle, it means you no longer want to go in a direction.” Instantly, he realises that he is “succeeding” in his studies but begrudgingly.
In fact, he lives in a permanent internal state of “stress,” loses his hair, and realises that his career prospects suit him not at all. His heart opens to the profession that allowed him to walk again.
He changes direction completely and travels to the United States to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from LCCW (Life Chiropractic College West) in San Francisco, as well as the National Boards and the California State Board in 1994. “Overall, I was experiencing having found my reason for being, to live in a truly different Internal State.”
The Birth of a Unique Service
During his various international clinical experiences—in the USA, France, Italy, Brazil, England, etc.—he observes that certain laws studied in physics and mathematics seem to be found again in the resolution (or not) of his patients’ chronic symptoms.
He discovers a pertinent comparison between how the human vertebral column functions and that of stars. Just as for stars, if people move away from their axis of radiance, they don’t develop the same symptoms as when they follow their reason for being. He develops STARS©, a complementary approach that offers another vision for patients to see and interpret their symptoms, the story of their past, present, and future life, and their reason for being… there.
An approach that allows each person to gradually dive into an Internal State of full radiance.

After 30 years of clinical practice and teaching, he measures the strength and impact of the results experienced by his patients and writes a universal version accessible to all of the Internal State in the form of the New Human Rights (2012).
He is the author of several bestselling books and participates in numerous media (he worked for 15 years for Entreprendre magazine, Groupe Lafont Presse).
